Leading ceramics manufacturer Listawood are pleased to announce that independent laboratory tests have successfully demonstrated that their Patent® protected AntiBug® technology is also effective against SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes Covid-19. AntiBug® treated samples were tested against the ISO 21702:2019 standard and results showed a significant reduction in SARS-CoV-2 on the surface of 78.12% after 4 hours when compared to an untreated control sample.

The company first introduced Antimicrobial drinkware products to the promotional market back in 2012; responding to well-publicised concerns about the transfer of pathogens in busy commercial settings, as well as hospitals, care facilities, and, indeed, at home.

Since then, Listawood have invested heavily in research and development and global patent protection to support their innovation extending the range of products offered with the AntiBug® treatment to include Ceramic Drinkware and an extensive collection of Thermal Bottles and Flasks; all available with a wide choice of unique decoration methods.

To celebrate the success of the tests, Listawood has announced that they will be including the AntiBug® treatment for free on their bestselling 11oz Durham Duraglaze® PhotoMugs. Combining the peace of mind that comes with AntiBug® with the everlasting Duraglaze® coating offers a level of protection that will last a lifetime.

“We’ve always been committed in our desire to offer unique and innovative lines and AntiBug® is testament to this”, commented Alex Turner, Managing Director, Listawood. “It is important that our customers are aware that they are supplying products whose performance is supported by robust independent laboratory test data , meaning that they can pitch Listawood products with complete confidence” added Turner.
