Listawood have been committed to supporting their staff with caring responsibilities and have been used in many government white papers as examples of good practice for the promotion of flexible working, work life balance and equality.

Listawood was the first company to win the Castle Award for equality in 2002; awarded by the DTi to recognise employers’ efforts to promote equal pay & opportunities in the workplace.

Along with BT, Unum Provident and PricewaterhouseCoopers, Listawood was a founding member of 'Employers for Carers' and remains an active advocate supporting the work of Carers UK and others in the development of improved rights and support mechanisms for carers in the workplace.

The Company works closely with local schools and colleges to support their design and business administration faculties through work based placements, factory tours, lectures, project work and apprenticeships.
